December’s Monthly Fling

It’s December’s Monthly Fling, and if you can’t recite all the best lines from classic Christmas movies, we’re gonna have a hard time being friends. So play along with us this month, as we close out 2019 with an ode to Flingers’ favorite festive flicks.

We begin with an official carbine action, 200-shot range model appetizer called the Fra-GEE-Lay Cheeseball (Must Be Italian). Stuffed with pepperoni, green pepper, red onion and Italian seasoning, this cheesy snowball with pizza chips will make you forget Santa’s boot pushing you down the slide. Order it. We triple dog dare you.

Run barefoot over broken glass for this salad, Hans. Loaded with enough crispy chicken, bacon, red onion, diced tomato & fresh mozzarella to fill up Nakatomi Plaza, do you really think you have a chance against this salad, Mr. Cowboy? Chickie Ki-Yay, Mozzareller.

You guys give up, or are ya thirsty for more? The main event is a pizza that even Kevin McCallister wouldn’t blast off his porch, featuring crispy breaded chicken, diced tomato, fresh mozzarella, Italian seasoning and fresh basil. Not even a super-heated doorknob should keep you away from this one… Ya Filthy Animal.

And for dessert, aside from candy, candy canes, candy corns, and syrup, it turns out the 5th main food group is a quarter pound sugar cookie topped with 3 scoops of peppermint ice cream, whipped cream, and crumbled chocolate holiday bark. Unless you’re sitting on a throne of lies, order this for the table and don’t be a Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins.

For real, thanks for playing along this month. It’s been a fun year of Monthly Flings, and we wanted to put a smile on your face for the last one. Because we just like to smile. Smiling’s our favorite.

Ya Filthy Animal ($15.49/$19.49)
Chickie Ki-Yay, Mozzareller ($8.99)
Fra-GEE-Lay Cheeseball ($9.49)
Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins ($9.49)

November’s Monthly Fling

It’s November’s Monthly Fling.

So much to be thankful for in November that we cranked out a veritable cornucopia of toppings and items this month, headlined by The Harvester: a topping-packed pizza featuring roasted butternut squash, oven-roasted turkey breast, spinach, red onion, ricotta cheese and fresh sage with our three-cheese blend on a garlic butter base. It’ll make you enjoy November!

Riding shotgun are Maple Bacon Wings, which have Maple and Bacon right there in the name, so you know they’re good. And then a bountiful Autumn Salad featuring roasted butternut squash, candied pecans, dried cranberries, red onion, and crumbled feta cheese on romaine lettuce. Served with a side of balsamic vinaigrette, it’s light years better than whatever salad your Aunt brings to Thanksgiving.

On the sweet side, order the Bananas Foster for dessert. Fresh cut bananas with brown sugar, cinnamon and rum baked in a skillet and topped with vanilla ice cream. (Because of the rum, we’re erring on the side of caution and stamping this with a “21 and over” label. Sorry kids.) And then at the bar, we’ve created our own spin on the vodka/cranberry which we’re calling Rosemary’s Berry. It features house-infused cranberry Down East vodka, with cranberry juice, rosemary simple syrup, Cointreau, lemon juice and ginger beer. It’s amazing.

It’s the Monthly Fling, your new infatuations for the month of November. Get your fill now at Flingers Pizza Pub for dine-in, carry-out, delivery, and online ordering before you get tired of them and call it quits at the end of the month. Just like a fling.

October’s Monthly Fling

It’s October’s Monthly Fling. Order online now:

Some pizzas stand in the darkness! Afraid to step intooooo the light… Honoring the Oktoberfest spirit and running in slow motion toward your hungry arms is the biggest sensation to hit Germany we could think of: The Hasselhoff. Featuring kielbasa sausage, red onion, Granny Smith apples, fresh arugula, and a smoked gouda & mozzarella cheese blend on a spicy brown mustard base, it’s knight riding its way down the beach and into your heart. It’ll be ready. Never you fear. (We recommend thin crust for this one, but if you’re looking for freedom, get it hand-tossed.)

Additionally, if your mouth is feeling brave, try our Spicy Cheese Curds. We almost called these The Floor is Lava Balls because seriously, this breading will light you up with a tingly throat. So be warned. For dessert, check out our Campfire Skillet, featuring marshmallows on a graham cracker crumble, chocolate syrup, and more graham crackers on the side. (And it’s also available for delivery!) And then at the bar, we’ve created a new cocktail that tastes like liquid Pumpkin Pie, so that’s what we called it (#creativity).

Man who catch fly with chopstick… accomplish anything. Well we’ve never done that. So we’ll have to settle for accomplishing pizza. This September, our humble dojo welcomes The Miyagi, a pizza full of wisdom, life lessons, grilled chicken, red onion, pineapple, bacon & our 3-cheese blend on a Sweet Teriyaki sauce base. (We’re also offering the Sweet Teriyaki as a sauce for our wings this month.) We think it’ll crane kick your face. But win, lose, no matter. We make good pizza, earn respect, then nobody bother.

Additionally, we’re sweeping your leg with an appetizer of Mini Veggie Spring Rolls featuring a side of Spicy Korean BBQ sauce (Gochujang), and then also making that sauce available for our wings, sensei. No mercy. It squish you like grape.
