To Flingers friends & customers, As strong proponents of the social distancing procedures being widely implemented across the country, we will choose to follow Governor Pritzker’s recommendation that restaurants and bars move exclusively to carry-out and delivery service between March 17th – 30th. While this means our dine-in service is temporarily suspended, we look forward to serving you via delivery & carry-out over the next couple weeks. Further, here are a few extra precautions we’re taking to make your delivery & carry-out experiences as safe as possible.
Flingers is uniquely well-positioned for a safe carry-out experience given our easy drive-up window. We’re directing staff to disinfect the bell after each transaction is completed, so when you arrive, be assured that ringing the bell will be a safe experience. We would ask that you: 1) minimize the use of cash, or 2) order & pay online before you arrive to minimize the need for debit/credit cards to be passed back-and-forth. Each transaction will be a contactless pickup. Also, our Lightning Lunch service will be temporarily suspended.
While your order is always well-protected inside boxes & insulated bags, we’re still directing our drivers to wash their hands before & after each delivery, and also to sanitize their car after each delivery. If possible, minimizing the use of cash is appreciated. Additionally, we will begin texting you within 5-10 minutes of receiving your online order to provide you with a more accurate estimated delivery time. As we add drivers to the schedule to keep delivery times reasonable, we hope this extra communication helps you plan meals as you navigate these waters with your family. Contactless delivery will also happen upon request.
Already last week, we had begun requiring staff to disinfect everything, and often. From check presenters to menus, to door handles and even gift cards, any surfaces that naturally experience contact by both staff and customers were being wiped-down regularly, and that process will continue even after the dine-in suspension is lifted and life returns back to normal. For now, we look forward to serving you through our delivery and carry-out services for the next couple weeks, and hope that the precautions we’re all taking during this time will allow us to see you back at the bar in April.
