Of the craft breweries that "got big and successful" over the last 20 years, Cleveland's own Great Lakes Brewing is one of the few who managed to keep cranking out fantastic beer. They didn't let the success go to their head. They didn't sell their soul. Their brews haven't gotten lazy or sloppy.
Here at Flingers, we love to support local and/or obscure beers, so sometimes when you see a "familiar" brand name in the beer list, it can feel a little...basic. But not with Great Lakes. We still love having their stuff on tap, and they remain one of the pillars of our craft rotation.

Style: Double IPA
ABV: 9%
We Say: Brewed with a blend of Apollo, Cashmere, and Citra hops along with wheat and oats, this smooth DIPA vibes with tropical citrus flavors, grapefruit and stone fruits, and even some melon sweetness, plus a piney, herbal backbone that isn't overly bitter. Packed with flavor and a pillowy, drinkable experience. Vibe it.
Style: Imperial IPA
ABV: 9.5%
We Say: Tropical fruits like mango, melon, and pineapple headline the show,with floral hops riding shotgun. Above average bitterness but not overpowering, and an alcohol zing that warms your mouth. But this is mostly a sweet, creamy, tropical fruit explosion. Monstrously tasty!
Style: Tart Ale
ABV: 4.3%
We Say: Lightly tart sipper featuring the classic POG combo of passion fruit, orange, and guava. Refreshing and spring-like!
Style: Amber Lager
ABV: 6.2%
We Say: Chewy malts with toast, toffee & caramel everywhere. You might also get some earthy nuttiness. This is one of the best amber lagers you’ll probably ever have.
