What started as a collab between Mikkeller and 3 Floyds in 2015 has now grown into its own independent operation. You might be most familiar with WarPigs from your local Binny's, Friar Tuck, or HyVee. Because as you're browsing the aisles, they're the section that pulls you toward their legendarily epic, consistent, black artwork on the packaging. It looks brutal and metal and brimming with ancient myths, and like a siren song, it lures you in. And then you're blown away by how good it tastes.
They've got grocery stores on lock, so we thought, "Let's tell our friends how good this stuff is on tap." And since they just released their new hazy IPA called Reign of Hera, it was a match made in Valhalla. There'll be keeper glass giveaways, and surprise prizes, so don't miss it!
Here's the lineup and more details:
Name: Reign of Hera
Style: Hazy IPA
We Say: Featuring a tropical bevy of flavors including grapefruit, orange, pineapple, mango, and melon, this is a medium-bodied, slightly bitter hazy with a kick of bright grassy pine. Delicious.
Name: Nemesis Divina
Style: Dry-hopped Porter
We Say: Dark chocolate dances with citrus and tropical hops from extensive dry-hopping, so it's kinda like a tropical pale ale hooked up with a porter. But it's got enough rich, malty character to keep it from being a black IPA. Smooth, chocolatey, and full of flavor.
Name: Blinding Light Show
Style: India Pale Ale
We Say: Made with orange and lemon peels for bold citrus, tropical flavors with a little pine. Fantastic IPA.
Name: Foggy Geezer
Style: Hazy IPA
We Say: Citrus and tropical hop varieties are gathered in their masses to create this dank, bitter, delicious hazy IPA.
And while supplies last, when you buy a WarPigs draft, you'll get to keep the glass (one per person).
WarPigs keeper glass only available with the purchase of a WarPigs draft. Keeper glasses are VERY limited, and offer is only valid while supplies last. Strict limit of one keeper glass per person.
Tuesday night (June 13th), come explore arcane libations with WarPigs at Flingers.
